On Tuesday May 12th, while Truck 12 was transferred to the south side of the county, Engine 122 and Chief 12A were alerted to respond to the 6000 block of 37th Avenue in Co. 1’s first due for a basement fire. Engine 122, dispatched as the third due engine company, stretched the 400 to side Charlie, extinguished fire in the basement, and opened up. Additionally, the crew removed a dog from the structure and handed it over to PA844 on the alpha side. Chief 12A assisted at the command post. Engine 122 operated for approximately 2 hours before returning to service.
