On Friday February 3rd, the CPVFD participated in the “Hoops For The Kids Lights & Siren Edition” charity basketball tournament for Terp Thon. The CPVFD started the tournament with a tough match up against UMPD. After 4 quarters, the game was tied. During the overtime tip-off, one of our brothers in blue injured his knee. As a result, both teams decided to end the game in a tie. The CPVFD went on to play a later game against the champion student team. Despite a superb athletic performance, the CPVFD team lost to the students.
Overall, the event raised over $2,000, with the CPVFD contributing $1,118.
